Retail Prepaid Cards – Eagle Retail™
The Freedom Eagle Cash Prepaid MasterCard® is the UK's first Chip
& PIN, instant issue and ATM instant access Prepaid MasterCard, launched in January
2009. The card is available to purchase online and from independent retailers and
will later be available in small to medium chains, supermarkets, fuel stations and
other networks. Customers can load, activate and start to
use the card almost immediately after purchase with loading channels via PayPoint,
The Post Office and by Bank Transfers. This product benefits from the adoption of
the new simplified due diligence rules regarding KYC (know your customer), meaning
the customer does not have to produce any documentation at the time of purchase
for the level 1 card.
There are 3 levels of Freedom with this fully reloadable card:
- Level 1 - £650 - no ID required
- Level 2 - £1,650 - ID required
- Level
3 - £3,000 - ID required
